Best in Show Solitaire Game Tips & Hints:

  • There are 8 chapters in this game.
  • You earn cash and Achievements. Replaying levels can earn you more of these.
  • Main Menu options include: Pet Store - visit as needed and purchase spares/equipment. Help - shows tutorial screens throughout the game. Statistics - shows your progress in the game and time. Achievements - shows the Achievements you've earned so far and tasks to unlock others.
  • When you click Play for the first time, the first Map screen is displayed with your 3 loyal dogs. Start with the Golden Retriever.
  • Choose the game level. You can replay levels at any time and your earnings are saved and added to. Levels are easier the second time.
  • The Map shows your progress and dog equipment/spares you've bought.
  • Start with the Golden Retriever. Click Continue for the second part of the Map, then click Switch for the Dog Select and Training screen or Continue to start playing.
  • The Dogpile (dealer) cards are at the bottom of the Hand screen. Try to clear all the cards. Left click on a card one number higher or lower than the card shown on the Dogpile. Suit doesn't matter. Ace is high and low.
  • The End Hand screen shows: Time taken to complete the hand, cash you've earned, highest combo, bonus for a perfect hand, total cash for the hand and current level.
  • Your Dog's Stamina decreases with each hand. Switch dogs when stamina runs out.
  • Only buy Training Treats, Collars and New Dogs at the start.
  • The Bone Meter shows your total progress for the level. You must fill the meter by the final hand to pass each level.
  • Check you've met all Level Objectives before the final hand.
  • Every card you clear adds to the Bone Meter. Combos give boosts.
  • Every hand is randomly dealt. Fences, squirrels and card locations are the same, but the cards are reshuffled for every play.
  • Spares/equipment change the value of your dog. Look for free items, instead of buying.
  • Dog breeds have different abilities. These recharge and are free, but zap a dog's stamina.
  • Buy training treats for an intelligent dog. Send a stubborn dog to the Pet Trainer.
  • The Pit Bull is cheap and helpful.
  • Good dogs for combos: Irish Jack, Parson Russell, Beagle, Springer Spaniel, Huskie.
  • Dogs for tough levels: German Shepard, Boxer, Great Dane, Sheltie, Collie, Black Lab.
  • Keep only a few spare items. Give a dog the Toy Finder ability if you run low on spares.
  • If you start with the Golden Retriever, switch dogs when it's loyal ability is unlocked.
