Ghost Mine Episode 6

MacKenzie Wells old town

Laura drives the hire car out into the desert to old town MacKenzie Wells.

Linda hangs out the window, snapping pictures of the rock formations.

 

 

 

	"Look at those amazing rocks! I love the desert. It's so hot - and so cool!"
	"Get your head inside, Linda - you'll get dust in your camera."
	"And close the window. We're about to turn onto a dirt road. There hasn't been enough restoration money to seal it yet. Hang on!"

The Chevy bounces along in a cloud of red dust as Laura drives around pot holes and craters.

Then they see the first tumble-down buildings at the edge of the town, stark against the desert landscape.

 

 

Further in, some of the buildings have been restored or are being worked on.

Laura turns onto Main Street and parks the Chevy in a shady spot.

Everyone stays inside for a minute, waiting for the dust to settle. Then the detectives climb out of the air conditioned car into the heat, eager to explore the old town.
